Founder and CEO
Michael Scissons, Founder and CEO leads the Perform Search vision and strategy. He champions a model built on executive talent access, AI, and content to help clients hire who’s next, not just who’s available. Before founding Perform Search, he built and led multiple high-growth companies, served on boards, and advised CEOs on scaling teams and performance. His career experience spans founder, operator, and investor roles which gives him deep connections across industries as well as unique insights into what makes a leadership team truly click.

With 15+ years of executive recruitment experience at top firms CTPartners and Caldwell, she’s been a trusted advisor to C-suite leaders and boards. She’s earned an industry reputation for her precision, insight, and ability to place transformative talent across corporate functions in both high-growth and public companies. Her deep executive search experience allows her to form even deeper connections to talent, both established and emerging.

How long does it typically take to fill a role?

Our team delivers a vetted shortlist of candidates within 7–10 days of the initial kickoff meeting. From there, we move at the pace your team is ready for. On average, our searches close in 79 days—from kickoff to accepted offer.

What are your areas of focus?

We recruit Sales & Marketing leaders, along with key corporate area including: Human Resources, Legal, Finance and Operations.

What level of professionals are you hiring?

We focus on recruiting at Director level and above. In certain cases, we also help build out full teams, which may include roles below that level.

Can we make the search confidential?

Absolutely. We will work with you on developing a plan, depending on the level of confidentiality.

Do you offer replacements if the hire doesn’t work out?

Yes, our client satisfaction is paramount and we understand some people just don’t work out due to a myriad of reasons. We do offer a replacement guarantee for candidates who exit the role.

Do you work internationally?

Yes, we have placed candidates and worked for companies in the US and globally.

How do you ensure cultural fit, not just qualifications?

We take a comprehensive approach to candidate evaluation. First, we work to understand your company’s culture by conducting stakeholder calls with the executive team or key decision-makers and, when possible, visiting onsite to observe the environment firsthand. We assess current and former employees to identify common traits among those who have thrived, and, when requested, we administer third-party assessments to finalist candidates. Finally, we conduct thorough reference checks on all final candidates.
